A few years ago I was on a no-chip manicure kick. I think it started to ruin my nails and the price tag was hard to justify when my manicures were still only lasting less than a week. But as a new mom it's hard to turn down a manicure where there is zero drying time. Zero.
Last week I went for a manicure and chose "You Don't Know Jacques," a standard winter color of mine and opted for the no-chip version.
It looked beautiful but four days later it completely peeled off. In all fairness, it didn't "chip" off... Aren't these supposed to last several weeks?
So, like a sucker, I went to a different salon to try it again and see if it would last longer. In honor of the weekend's Oscars ceremony, I chose a very light gold color...
...which got me thinking about the cool nail designs I've been seeing on Pinterest lately. Here are a few of my favorite creative nail designs, most of which I'm too chicken to try.
Dark Matte French Mani
Reverse Dark French Mani
Muted Animal Print
Gold Metallic (this gold is cooler than my gold)
